Jon and Katharine Harris Endowed Chair of Lower School Music Strikes a Chord and More for our Young Students

Thanks to funding by the Jon and Katharine Harris Endowed Chair of Lower School Music, three programs have received support this year. The endowment helped Hamden Hall obtain instruments for the Lower School Instrumental Program, provided funding for the Rockin' Yoga Assembly and Magic of Music Teacher Assembly to be held in Spring 2019, and allowed for enhancements for Lower School stage performances. The Endowed Chair, established in 2017, honors the commitment of Jon and “Kathie” to our Lower School music program for more than 30 years. From 1974 to 2006, Jon was always behind the scenes while Kathie was front and center. Hamden Hall is grateful to The Harris Family for its generosity, and we invite our school community to join the family in honoring Kathie and the memory of Jon by supporting the ongoing endowment.
