Apply

Submit your application online here.  There is an application fee of $60.  Upon completion of your application you will hear from the Admissions office to schedule an interview (grades 1-12) or screening (PreS-K).  We also accept the SAO and Gateway applications.

Applications for Grades 1-12 which are completed by the initial January 15, 2024 deadline will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and have a decision sent by mail at the end of February.  All applications submitted after January 15, 2024 will be considered on a rolling basis for grades in which spaces are available.

All completed Early Childhood Program applications (PreSchool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten) will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee on a rolling basis.

Register for Testing

Students applying to grade 7-12 should register to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT).  Both organizations provide a variety of options for taking the exam.  Hamden Hall will be a host site for the ISEE in December and for the SSAT in January.  If you take the ISEE or SSAT at a different test site, be sure to request that the results are sent to Hamden Hall. Our testing codes are: 070258 (ISEE) and 3655 (SSAT).

Students applying to grades 2-6 take an age appropriate assessment in language arts and math at Hamden Hall on the interview date.

Weber Scholarship

Weber Scholars are selected from our pool of applicants for grades 7-12 each year.  Please visit the Weber Scholarship page for more information.

Financial Aid

Please visit the Tuition and Financial Aid page to get more information about applying for financial aid.  Financial aid can be applied for online at the CLARITY website.  Financial aid applications must be completed by January 15th in order for the committee to make a decision by the beginning of March. A student’s application for admission must be complete before their application for financial aid will be considered.  In order to be eligible for need-based financial aid, the CLARITY application must be completed during the admissions process.  You will be informed of our admissions and financial aid decisions at the same time.  Applications received after January 15th will be considered on a rolling basis contingent on available aid.
