In early May, we shared the challenging news that due to COVID-19, Christopher Lukas Bellis, Class of 1981, had to close down his Bed & Breakfast in scenic North Conway, N.H. This week we are delighted to share Christopher’s good news—that the Cranmore Inn will be able to accept guests from the State of New Hampshire beginning Friday, June 5.
Ashley Luchini, Class of 2016, graduated in May 2020 with a nursing degree from Fairfield University and has accepted a position as a labor and delivery nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She has been working as a patient care assistant (PCA) at Yale but the onslaught of COVID-19 thrust Ashley into the midst of the healthcare crisis at the hospital.
We are saddened to learn that Alvin David Gordon, father of alumna Susan Gordon, Ph.D., Class of 1975, and the late Scott Gordon, Class of 1981, died on August 8, 2020. Alvin is also survived by daughter Robin Gordon, who attended Hamden Hall.
Barbara A. Young, mother of alumna Rolan Joni Young, Class of 1978, died on July 5, 2020. Please join the Hamden Hall community in extending sincere condolences to Rolan and her family during this difficult time.
