Class of 2019 alumnus Dylan McNamara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Business. He is now working towards bringing a new perspective to the philanthropic industry.

Class of 2014 alumna Allison “Allie” Izzo graduated with an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. As a student in the Langone Part-Time MBA program, she specialized in Strategy; Supply Chain Management and Global Sourcing; and Leadership and Change Management.

Hamden Hall’s eighth head of school, James R. Maggart, passed away Nov. 19, 2021. Jim had served for 13 years under the pines before retiring in May 2004. Upon his retirement in 2004, Jim was surprised with news that his school community had established the James R. Maggart Scholarship Fund in his honor.

Barbara Halbing Fiskio, Class of 1950, of Wellesley, Mass., died on September 6 in Boston while recovering from injuries sustained in a fall. She was 90.
David Shutan, a long-time businessman in the New Haven area who was also active in the local Jewish community, died on September 21, 2023, in Boca Raton, Fla., at the age of 97. He was the father of Hamden Hall alumni, Caron Shutan, Class of 1975, and Bruce Shutan, Class of 1979.
