At Hamden Hall we believe that all of our community members must feel included, heard, respected, supported, and cared for. We celebrate the uniqueness of each of us while sharing a communal identity and spirit as Hamden Hall Hornets!
Bob Izzo, Head of School
It's the simple things in life, such as an act of kindness or befriending a new school mate, that build character. We impart that to our students every day.
Diversity Opportunities Under the Pines
Hamden Hall offers many opportunities for students to get involved in diversity clubs, groups, and unions.
Hamden Hall earned the official designation, No Place for Hate, in 2020 by the Anti-Defamation League. Since that time, we continue to stand up for equity, inclusion, and acceptance as exhibited by our school-wide pledge and banner and have earned this distinction each year thereafter.
The inaugural Walk for Unity took place on Oct. 16, 2022, and is an annual event for our school community. As part of our No Place for Hate commitment, the walk is just one initiative that highlights our school's commitment to taking a stand against all forms of hate.
Hamden Hall is among the first schools in the nation to pilot the College Board's AP African American Studies course. The course launched under the leadership of Dr. Hill, who was instrumental in developing the program as a member of the College Board's Course Development Committee.
