From our partnership with Global Online Academy to our exclusive Science, Innovation & Design Program, students develop a panoply of skills that go beyond the traditional curriculum and further immerse them in an extraordinary academic environment.

Global Online Academy

Our partnership with Global Online Academy allows students to reach beyond the core curriculum to engage in areas of study they may want to pursue in college and beyond. Courses are interactive, instructional, and experiential.

Mystic Seaport Partnership

Hamden Hall forms partnerships with the best resources in the area to bring learning to life for our students. One of the most innovative and dynamic is our collaboration with Mystic Seaport. In conjunction with Mystic educators, we combine in-class lessons and activities for our fourth- and fifth-graders with onsite travels to the popular maritime history attraction.

    • PeerLeaders

 

Princeton Peer Leadership Program

The Princeton Peer Leadership Program has been an integral part of Hamden Hall’s Upper School since its inception during the 1989-1990 school year. The year-long mentoring program allows ninth-graders the opportunity to foster connections with one another and learn more about their school community through the guidance of their elder peers – a specifically selected group of seniors who help them acclimate to the Upper School and build community among one another.

Hamden Hall’s Science, Innovation, & Design Program (SID) enables inquisitive, independent learners to pursue and study research topics of their own choosing. This special program is available for Middle and Upper School students.

Robotics and Rocketry

 

Robotics and Rocketry

Hamden Hall’s Robotics and Rocketry program immerses students in hands-on engineering as they design, build, and test robots and rockets for competition. Working collaboratively, students apply the engineering design process to meet dynamic challenges—whether programming robots for VEX tournaments or launching rockets to meet precise flight goals. Through this experience, students develop skills in mechanical design, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork while engaging in real-world, project-based learning.  


    • Makerspace

 

MakerSpace Design Lab

Our MakerSpace Design Lab fosters creativity, innovation, resourcefulness, and motivation as it provides students an opportunity to create, design, build, and tinker with all varieties of materials and resources. Students at all levels are introduced to our MakerSpace Design Lab in order to augment project-based learning. It requires collaboration, teamwork, and curiosity - all traits that are installed in students via the Hamden Hall Experience.
