Hamden Hall Country Day School

Educating students in PreSchool through Grade 12

Parents' Association

Welcome Back to Campus!

A Note from Our Co-Presidents:

To say our final semester of the 2020 school year was a challenge would be an understatement.  Who would have guessed we’d leave for Spring Break never to return to campus the rest of the school year.

However, we did seamlessly move into the distance learning experience.  We have to say we’re so proud of our school’s readiness in providing our children a superior learning experience during the pandemic.

Teachers, Administrators and Coaches worked very hard to keep our students engaged and focused on their studies and sports.  It proved to be a success as both the Parents’ Association and the Administration received positive feedback from our community!

We are now beginning the 2020-2021 school year thankfully with our students on campus, and would like to send a big “Welcome” to all returning and new families in our wonderful Hamden Hall community!

Our return would not be possible if not for the diligent work by the members of the Hamden Hall Task Force under the leadership of Bob Izzo.  We have toured the campus and can attest that they have worked tirelessly to provide us the safest and most secure campus.  We hope you are all as proud as we are to be a part of this first-rate community.

Though this will not be a traditional year, the Hamden Hall Parents’ Association’s spirit shines brightly, and we hope you will join us in making this year of uncertainty a year of security and stability for our children.  Though our events may appear a bit different, we stand steadfast to keep our rich traditions alive in our community.  We promise that when this is all behind us, we’ll host the biggest event ever!

Our Parents’ Association meetings are normally open to the community and attendance and ideas are always warmly welcomed.  Unfortunately, due to social distance restrictions, our meetings are not possible at this time. Please feel free to reach out to us via phone or email with any ideas, questions, or concerns you may have.  In the meantime, we encourage you to visit the Parents’ Association tab often for any updates we may have.  We’ll also keep you updated in the Hamden Hall Happenings enewsletter, so please be sure to read when published.

Wishing our students and families a wonderful school year!

  • Mother's Day Flower and Candle Fundraiser

    Hello Spring!
The Parents’ Association would like to welcome everyone back from Spring Break!
We hope to hold some type of in-person Parents’ Association meeting for what would be our final meeting in May and will report more soon!  It’s been a very different year, and we so miss seeing our returning families and really miss meeting our new families.
A big thank you to our community!  Despite the restrictions, we had both a very successful Photo Day and the most profitable Pie Sale in the history of this traditional event.  Our Photo Day profited about $1,600 and our Pie Sale profited just under $8,000.  This was unbelievable!  We look forward to giving back to the school as needed.
Unfortunately, we are unable to have our traditional Mother’s Day Plant Sale due to restrictions with the different Cohorts.  That said, we are hosting a virtual Mother's Day Flower and Candle Sale to celebrate our moms, grandmas, and other special someones.  Click on the following links to view the order forms: Upper/Middle School Flyer and Lower School Flyer to participate.  We are now making payment even easier via Venmo.  Email your order to our HHPA Treasurer JoAnn Scillia  jo.scillia@gmail.com.  She will confirm and provide Venmo instructions.  As always, we greatly appreciate your support.
Finally, we want to hear from you!   If you would like to get more involved with the Hamden Hall Parents’ Association, please contact us laurievingiano@gmail.com or ginam@gmail.com.  Getting involved in our wonderful community is a great way to make an additional investment in your child’s education.  We welcome all those who want to get involved.
