Karl Gasteyer Celebrates Wedding Vows

Our younger “dramatic” alumni from the Classes of 2016 to 2018 may wish to congratulate Karl Gasteyer, Hamden Hall theater teacher and director, on his marriage to Jan Nichols. Karl, known for his exuberance and dramatic flair, exchanged vows with Jan not just once, but twice! The first go-around was on March 22 in Washington, D.C. where U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a family friend, did the honors. Then on Sept. 2, Karl and Jan did it all over again at the Guilford home of Keely Baisden Knudsen in a small ceremony. Joining in both celebrations was Jan’s son, Arjun Nicols, a new Hamden Hall fourth-grader. Jan is an art teacher who has shared her creative talents for costuming on many Hamden Hall productions. Congratulations to the happy family!
