Postseason Accolades for Winter Student-Athletes

As the 2023-2024 Winter sports season has come to a close, a plethora of our Varsity student-athletes have been honored and recognized by the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) for their outstanding athletic performance.

"We are very proud of all of our winter athletes as many of our winter teams had great seasons, which is a testament to the players and coaches," said Director of Athletics David Doyle. "We would like to congratulate those those specific athletes that earned FAA and NEPSAC individual honors.  Hamden Hall was well represented on the FAA All-league and NEPSAC All-New England teams."

The Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team won the regular season Fairchester Athletic Association Championships. Seniors Jake Cacace, Daniel Vining, and sophomore Kaelen Annes all earned FAA All-League 1st Team. Sophomore Vincenzo Federico earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and eighth-grader Landon Kaliszewski earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.

The Co-ed Varsity Swimming and Diving Team competed in the NEPSAC Championships with the Boys’ Team claiming its third consecutive title and fourth overall. Senior Connor Jermain earned FAA All-League and named All-NEPSAC in the 100-Freestyle individual event and the 200-Freestyle Relay with sophomore Cameron Puhl, freshman Paxon Campbell, and eighth-grader Gavin Giordano. Senior Mason Rickey earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention and received All-NEPSAC for the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke. Sophomore Jack Cucchiarelli earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.
 
Juniors Anthony Ferneini, Eric Huang, and sophomore Tyler Tagliarini all earned FAA All-League and named All-NEPSAC in the 400-Freestyle Relay. Anthony also earned All-NEPSAC in the 200-Individual Medley event and 100 Breaststroke as Tyler earned All-NEPSAC in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke individual events. Freshman Jehan Mody earned All-NEPSAC in the 1-meter diving, and senior Eric He earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention in the 1-meter diving.
 
For Girls’ Varsity Basketball, junior Mackenzie Mori was named FAA All-League 1st Team, selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team, and chosen as the NEPSAC Class C Player of the Year. Sophomore Reilly Chernovetz was named FAA All-League 2nd Team and selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team. Freshman Mary Ganim was selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team.

For Boys’ Varsity Basketball, senior Ryan Stratton was named FAA All-League 2nd Team and senior Mason Gorham was named FAA All-League Honorable Mention and earned All-NEPSAC Class C Honorable Mention. Senior Alex Prezioso earned All-NEPSAC Class C, and junior Ben Miller earned All-NEPSAC Class C Honorable Mention.
