Nothing But Net for Boys’ Varsity Basketball

The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team welcomed Marianapolis School at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Wednesday, February 7, winning 73-70.

Senior Alex Prezioso led the way with 15 points as fellow seniors Ethan Bessoni and Ryan Stratton netted a combined 28 points for the Hornets. Other points scored included seniors Mason Gorham and Sam Streater, junior Jadan Iannaccone, and freshman Caleb Chapman.

“This game was huge for us and we won because of our effort on the defensive end,” said Alex. “Everyone brought the energy we needed to win.”

Coach Sean Doherty noted that all 12 players had time out on the court and said he was proud of the way everyone played throughout the game.

The team travels for an away game against Brunswick School on Friday, February 9, at 4:30 p.m.
