Boys’ Varsity Basketball Sweeps FAA Rival
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team welcomed Fairchester Athletic Association League rival St. Luke’s School for an afternoon match-up on Wednesday, January 31, winning 51-41.
Senior and captain Alex Prezioso led the team with 17 points while fellow seniors Ryan Stratton and Mason Gorham, and freshman Christian Cournoo, netted a combined 21 points. The second half of the game saw play from senior Ethan Bessoni and junior Nate McCleery.
“The team did a great job with the half-court man defense tonight and made big plays on offense when needed,” said Coach Sean Doherty.
The Hornets stay home at the Beckerman Athletic Center for a game against Masters School on Saturday, February 3, at 2 p.m.
