Sports Media Pinnacle for 2008 Non-Graduate

Class of 2008 non-graduate Erika Vingiano joined a prestigious group within sports media as she received one of the highest distinctions, an Emmy Award for Outstanding Studio Show - Daily: SportsCenter, as an associate producer at ESPN.

Erika joined ESPN in 2022 and works on all of the features content within the show as a production coordinator, but is also credited as an associate producer. Prior to ESPN, she worked at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in Stamford, Conn., in production management working on documentaries, television, and digital content. She also spent almost six years at NBC Sports as a production and operations specialist working on features content and notably covered three Olympics.

Erika said she always had a focus on original programming coordination and management, but has worked on the live side and various other areas of production throughout her media entertainment tenure.

Erika attended Hamden Hall for grades 7-9 before transferring to North Haven High School. She graduated from Albertus Magnus College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and her master’s degree in journalism from Quinnipiac University in 2014.

Erika is the niece of current Hamden Hall Board of Trustees member Bill Vingiano and his wife Laurie and cousin to Class of 2022 alumna Ava Vingiano.

“Although I didn’t graduate from Hamden Hall, my education there truly gave me a tremendous foundation to succeed in a fast-paced, constantly changing industry,” said Erika.
