Dual Win for Varsity Wrestling
The Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Team hosted Canterbury School, Forman School, and Marianapolis Prep for a home meet on Saturday, January 13.
Taking the mat at the Beckerman Athletic Center, freshman Gavin Giugno went 3-0 in his match with two wins. Hamden Hall won its first dual match of the season in a win by criteria with a score of 24-24 against Marianapolis. Captain and junior Kevin Li won the match with a win by fall.
Coach Kiernan Griffin noted that the team is preparing and practicing for the upcoming tournament schedule.
The team takes on Brunswick School for its next meet on Saturday, January 20, at 7:30 a.m.
