2019 Alumnus Works to Revolutionize the Philanthropic Industry

Class of 2019 alumnus Dylan McNamara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Business. He is now working towards bringing a new perspective to the philanthropic industry.

Dylan is the founder of Synpact, a start-up venture with the goal of flipping the philanthropic industry and elevating the giving experience through entertainment, transparency, community, and incentives. He started the company with the idea of transforming the relationships between people, companies, and charities by fostering enduring connections for sustained involvement.  

“There's nothing really more important than having an impact on the lives of others,” said Dylan. “I want to amplify the best parts of life; whether it's happiness, compassion, or love. I kind of took all of those passions and aspirations and merged them to form Synpact.”

During his time in undergrad, Dylan organized and hosted a campus-wide charity event called Give & Game that raised monetary donations for five causes including pediatric cancer, climate change, animal advocacy, food insecurity, and mental health. The event brought together students of the Babson community to play games and compete for points as teams. A $20,000 donation was made as a result of the fundraiser.

Give & Game served as the inaugural event for Dylan’s goal of giving back and finding his place in the philanthropic world.
