Dr. Lee Herrington, Class of 1952

Dr. Lee Herrington, Hamden Hall Class of 1952, died on Sept. 19 in Syracuse, N.Y. Lee was predeceased in February by his wife Nancy, who also graduated from under the pines in 1952.
 
The couple had been married for 65 years after having met at Hamden Hall - they started dating their senior year and attended the prom together.
 
Lee led a life of excellence and character as a father, husband, scholar, teacher, and
friend, according to his family, which includes sons Matthew and Bradford and daughter Susan. A third son, Wayne, passed away in 2013.
 
A scholarship has been established in memory of Lee and Nancy and their appreciation for their alma mater. Click here to make a memorial contribution to the Lee and Nancy Herrington Scholarship Fund 

According to the family, a celebration of Lee and Nancy’s lives will be held in Spring 2022 in both Essex, Conn., and Syracuse, N.Y. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Essex.
