2016 Alumnus Scores Job with Miami Dolphins

Following his May 2020 graduation from Ithaca College, Marco Fontana, Class of 2016, scored a job as a ticket sales representative for the Miami Dolphins.

Now living in Miami, Marco revealed that he works a hybrid schedule due to COVID – meaning that he goes to Hard Rock Stadium some days and works from home others.

Hard Rock Stadium is located in Miami Gardens, Florida, and is the home stadium of the Miami Dolphins. Marco’s responsibilities include driving revenue by selling season tickets, groups of 10-plus, luxury/hospitality spaces, and annual suites for Dolphins games. He does the same for Hard Rock Stadium events such as the Super Bowl, CFP, soccer, tennis, concerts, boxing, and more. 

“We also host the Miami Open tennis tournament every year where we can sell ticket plans,” he maintained.

Marco noted that he wasn’t a total newbie to the stadium. He attended a University of Miami game at Hard Rock Stadium with former 2016 classmates Michael DiMartino and Jake Teplitzky, who attended and graduated from the Coral Gables school. 

As for his move down south, Marco said he didn’t envision taking up residency so far from his roots in Branford.

“I thought I would stay close to home, but I’m glad COVID pushed me to take this leap of faith and do something I probably wouldn’t have otherwise,” he explained.

Marco earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in sport management from Ithaca College.
