Designing Alumna Gets Creative at Vineyard Vines
Alumna Shin Hae Lee, Class of 2013, began a new job in late 2020 as an associate digital designer for Vineyard Vines, the popular American clothing and accessory retailer.
Since graduating from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2017, Shin Hae has worked as a graphic designer – both in a freelance capacity and for the Japanese retail brand, UNIQLO, in New York City. Her major at RISD was graphic design.
“Post-college, I traveled a little bit and did some work abroad in Korea for a few months before coming back to the U.S. and doing some freelance graphic design work with a few local businesses in Connecticut,” she explained.
After two years with UNIQLO, Shin Hae was offered a position at Vineyard Vines.
“It's been such an amazing experience thus far, working for a really wonderful company,” she said.
Also new is her current pastime: “I picked up archery as a new hobby while stuck in quarantine during the pandemic lockdown.”
