Nicholas F. DeFelice, Former Faculty

Former Hamden Hall faculty member Nicholas F. DeFelice, died on October 8 at his home in Southington. He was 86. Nick is survived by his wife Doris Maule DeFelice, his four children, 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Nick attended high school in Derby and played football. He went on to study at SCSU while pursuing his football career as an offensive tackle. He graduated in 1961 with a BS degree in education and started teaching physical education at Hamden Hall. In the summer of 1965, Nick was invited to the NY Jets training camp and made the team. He played with the Jets for 2 seasons and declined a third season to be with family. He started a sales and marketing company that operated for 40 years.
