The Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Team welcomed Wooster School and Wilbraham & Monson Academy for the first two games of the season over the weekend, winning 3-0 in both matches.
Taking the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center, the team was led by captains and juniors Summer Krajcir and Tami Afolalu. During the two matches, Tami totaled 16 kills and eight digs while Summer totaled 10 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Ilke Altindas tallied 24 assists to help secure the victory.
“What a way to open the season,” noted Coach Gary Aurora. He said the team is now 2-0 for its season record.
The team returns to the court on Monday, September 11, at 4:30 p.m. to play Hopkins School.
