The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled on the road to play against Wilbraham and Monson Academy on Friday, February 10, winning 63-61.
It was a back-and-forth battle between the Hornets and Titans throughout the first half. Sophomores Emma Olausson and Summer Krajcir kept the energy high and added points to the scoreboard. Senior Eveani Okwuosa defended the net while seniors Rayne Durant and Josie Cancro made several three-point shots to help secure the final win.
“This team is such a resilient group and put a lot of pressure on WMA defensively,” said Coach Brian Johnson. “They were able to chip away with timely buckets, and this win should give us the top seed in the class.”
The team returns to the court on Tuesday, February 14, at 5 p.m. to face off against Greens Farms Academy.
