The Girls’ Varsity Softball Team traveled to Canterbury School for an afternoon game on Wednesday, April 23, winning 4-3.
Freshman and pitcher Chloe Carling took the mound for all seven innings, striking out eight players and only allowing three earned runs on three hits.
At the plate, senior Melanie Carling was 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and two RBIs. Senior Summer Krajcir had two hits and one RBI, freshman Hannah Crocker had one hit and one run, and eighth-grader Caitlin Leslie had one RBI.
Coach Laura Montone noted it was great to see the team rally together and get the win.
The Lady Hornets return to the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for a home game against The Frederick Gunn School on Friday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m.
