Homecoming Victory for Girls’ Varsity Volleyball
The Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Team hosted St. Luke’s School for its Homecoming game on Saturday, October 28, winning 3-1.
Taking the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center, juniors Tami Afolalu and Summer Krajcir led on the offensive side as sophomore Grace Yang set the offense. Junior Theodora Aslan and eighth-grader Shawna Aurora anchored the middle while freshman Zhanna Milani and eighth-graders Anna Aslan and Scottie Beck kept strong in the back row leading on defensive plays.
“What a great win as the team was supported by a very enthusiastic home crowd,” said Coach Gary Aurora.
The team returns to the court for a game against Holy Child School on Wednesday, November 1, at 4:30 p.m. The season record has improved to 12-9.
