Class of 2011 alumna Lindsay Perrelli and her husband, Joseph Murphy, wed at the First Congregational Church in the Nantucket Downtown Historic District on Sept. 10, 2022.
The couple, who met in 2018, both grew up vacationing on Nantucket with Lindsay and her family specifically spending the summer in Siasconset. Nantucket was the first trip Lindsay and Joe took together and would later become engaged during a trip to Paris last Valentine’s Day.
With their childhood summer roots in Nantucket, they wanted to bring their wedding back to the place where their love story began. The couple rented The Wade Cottages, a house that overlooked the bluff in Siasconset, for the welcome party and reception. In attendance at the wedding were fellow Hamden Hall alumnae Morgan Massey 2011 and Olivia Dworkin 2011.
Currently, Lindsay and Joe live in Wellesley, Mass., with their golden retriever puppy named Beau. Lindsay is the owner of The Happy Journey, a children’s store filled with toys, books, and educational games in Beacon Hills. She named the shop after her children’s book, The Happy Journey. She previously worked as a teacher at Boston Children’s Hospital where she taught oncology and cardiology units to bedside patients. Joe is the head of U.S. lending for Centz.
