Boys’ Varsity Baseball Falls to Cheshire Academy

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball batted against Cheshire Academy on late Friday afternoon, April 1, at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex.

Sophomore Gavin Lyons took the mound and pitched five strong innings, striking out seven players, but giving up two earned runs. Freshman Asher Wasserman earned his first career home run, but the team could not stage a comeback losing 5-4.

“Tough loss, but the team is ready for the next set of games,” noted Coach Brad Chernovetz.

The Hornets take on Greens Farms Academy on Monday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m.
