Wrestlers Sweep the Mat - Twice!

Varsity Wrestling is truly on a roll, and enjoyed another superb week where they showed their prowess against an array of opponents, most of whom are bigger schools. On Saturday, the Hornets traveled to Springfield, Mass. where they defeated host Wilbraham & Monson Academy 41-36, Williston-Northampton 51-6, and Eagle Hill 51-12.

On Wednesday, the Hornets were equally impressive and successful when they traveled to the Salisbury School. The team started out against Forman School, winning 48-24, 5-0 on the mat. They then narrowly bested Suffield Academy 42-36; 4-1 on the mat. They then defeated the hosts 48-30; 4-1 on the mat, to complete the sweep.

With these victories, the Hornets are now a stunning 9-2 on the season! On Saturday, the team will compete individually at the Oxford Invitational against a variety of public school opponents. Congratulations and good luck to Coach Blair Tugman and the team.
