Doria Weiss, Class of 2015, is a proud member of the University of Michigan’s Girls Lacrosse Club. The team has been named this year's National Champions, having played in tournaments in California, Colorado, and Texas--winning all 15 games during the season and four in the playoffs for a 19-0 undefeated season. The league consists of other big Division I schools such as Georgia, Pittsburgh, UCLA, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. Doria is completing her junior year at Michigan, and she’s in the honors program majoring in public health and pre-medicine. She started playing lacrosse freshman year at Hamden Hall. “Many competitive high school athletes struggle with the decision of attending a big university or playing a sport at a smaller college,” she said. “I definitely recommend for those in a similar situation to look into club sports programs. Being able to still compete and play lacrosse at my dream school has been nothing short of an amazing experience.”
Hamden Hall Country Day School, located less than two miles from Yale University, is one of the best private schools in Connecticut to enroll elementary, middle, and high school students. Our nurturing and inclusive community provides a dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence by understanding each child and fostering their individual growth.
