Boys advance to New England SemiFinals with convincing win v. Watkinson, but fall short against Pingree in the afternoon round
Rich Lo Ricco, Jeff Murillo, Nick Ginsberg, Evan Hershman, Joe Murray, and Jose Alvarez de Lugo all came away with doubles wins to start off the day Saturday in the New England Quarterfinal match held at Choate. Murillo, Hershman, and Ginsberg then put together quick singles wins to send the boys into the semifinals against Pingree.
The Semifinal match vs. second seeded Pingree proved challenging from the start, as the Hornets dropped the doubles point and headed into the singles round needing to win four of the six matches to advance to the New England Championship on Sunday. Unfortunately, Pingree's singles lineup proved too much as they won three of the singles matches to move on.
