Boys’ Varsity Baseball Extends Winning Streak

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team welcomed Avon Old Farms for a non-league home game at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Monday, April 27, winning 11-6.
Senior Nic Scillia started the game for the Hornets, striking out one player and only allowing three runs on three hits. Junior AJ Park, seniors Eric Jagielow and Billy Cole, and freshman Drew Anderson each took the mound and struck out a combined six players as senior Amato Civitello closed out the game to secure the final victory.

At the plate, Amato went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBIs, and two walks; junior Sam Castro went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBIs, and one run; freshman Chase Doyle went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two hits; and junior Leo Dottori went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two hits. 

The tea, record is now 13-3 for the season and 9-1 in FAA League play under Coach Brad Chernovetz.

The team stays at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for a game against King School on Tuesday, April 28, at 4:30 p.m.
