Shaw Sportexe spent the summer months installing the turf field, which is specially lined to accommodate four sports. The first home game on the new synthetic field will be varsity football on Saturday, Sept. 15, at noon.

Besides a premier surface for multi-use, the new field will also reduce maintenance costs. Turf fields require no water, fertilizers or pesticides. The infill is composed of rubber.

Hamden Hall parents Gary and Kendra Montano, whose son Christian is a junior this year, were excited to support the installation of a turf field.

"Kendra and I are so thankful to Hamden Hall and what the school community has done for our son, Christian, who is a lifer. Being involved with the turf field project has been a way for us to give back as a token of our appreciation."
