Ellen Rich to Receive Scholar Athlete Award
The New Haven Tap-Off Club will honor thirty four scholar-athletes at their annual dinner on Wednesday, April 28th. Among the honorees is Hamden Hall's Ellen Rich. Ellen is the second Hamden Hall girls basketball player to receive this prestigious award. She follows Maddy Gobrecht who was honored at the conclusion of the 2006-2007 season. Maddy currently is a member of the Yale women's basketball team. Ellen, who was one of the captains of this year's New England Championship team, will attend Muhlenberg College in the fall. The "Mules" are coached by Ron Rohn and have qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of the last five seasons.
