The Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Miss Porter’s School for a weekend match on Saturday, April 22, winning 6-1.
In the single match, eighth-grader Rebecca Danishevsky in the first spot won her set with a score of 8-1. Sophomore Theodora Aslan in the second spot won her set with a score of 8-0. Junior Rachel Danishevsky in the third spot won her set with a score of 8-0.
In the doubles match, senior Vanessa Gold and freshman Addison Lewis won their set with a score of 8-5. Eighth-grader Zhanna Milani and seventh-grader Anna Aslan won their set 8-3. Sophomore Daniella Li and freshman Grace Yang won their set 8-4.
“Great team win,” commented Vanessa. “Everyone fought hard and played super well in each set.”
The team returns home to the James R. Maggart Tennis Courts for a match-up against Storm King School on Wednesday, April 26, at 4:15 p.m.
