Benjamin Woods Labaree died on August 30. He attended Hamden Hall with the Class of 1944. He joined the U.S. Navy before graduating from Yale University in 1950. He went on to have a nearly 50 year teaching career and did extensive research in colonial Massachusetts. Ben was an accomplished author. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda, and their three children, Ben Jr., Jonathan, and Sarah.
