  Vinny Teixeira picked-up his 7th win of the year and Austin French and Mike Cox each homered to send the Hornets to a spot in the NE finals.

  Austin French was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and also picked up his 4th win of the season as the Hornets advanced to the New England semi-finals.  John Lefeber was 2-3 and Marco Gasparro was 2-2.  Next game is on Friday, 5/21 at 4:30.

  John Lefeber was 2-3 and Marc Cafasso scored a run but it was not enough to overcome an opportunistic Brunswick team.  The Hornets will now get ready to play in the first round of the New England tourney, which starts on Wednesday.

  Mike Cox's double in the top of the 8th inning scored John Lefeber and proved to be the winning run.  Marco Gasparro's  3 RBIs double in the 8th, with the bases loaded, sealed the win.  Vinny Teixeira's second homer of the game in the 6th tied the game and send it into extra innings.  Teixeira was 3-4 with 3 RBI's and 3 runs scored.  Lefeber was 3-4 with 2 runs scored and also picked up the win in relief.  Austin French also had a double.

  Jordan Kubilus pitched a one-hit, shortened game and was 3-4 with 2 RBIs to cap an undefeated, regular season, league record for the Hornets.  Mike Sowerby was 2-3 with 4 RBIs and Mike Cox was 2-3 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a double.  Vinny Teixeira was 2-3 with 3 RBIs and a double.  Marco Gasparro had 2 hits and Austin French had 2 RBIs.  

• Kubulis wins game with walk-off single

  Jordan Kubilus' single in the bottom of the seventh inning drove in Marc Cafasso to  give the Hornets a 3-2, come from behind, win over King school.  Patrick Falkoff hit a home run and John Lefeber was 2-3.  Austin French struck out 10 and combined with Lefeber for the win. 

• Pietrandrea's triple beats Hopkins

  Matt Pietrandrea's triple with the bases loaded in the fifth inning broke a 3-3 tie and put the Hornets ahead to stay.  With the win the Hornets clinched the regular season Fairchester title.  Marco Gasparro had 2 clutch RBIs and Austin French continued his solid hitting with 3 hits on the day.  John Lefeber was 2-4 and Vinny Teixeira sealed the win with a 2 run homer in the 6th inning.

  Vinny Teixeira won his 6th game of the year and John Lefeber came in to pick-up the save.  Teixeira was 4-5 with a double, triple and 4 RBIs.  Mike Cox had a double and 3 RBIs.  Patrick Falkoff had 2 doubles and 2 RBIs and Mike Sowerby had 2 RBIs.   

• French outduels Rye

  Austin French went the distance while striking out 12 and picked up his third win of the season.  John Lefeber and Mike Cox scored the only two runs on an RBI hit by French.  Marco Gasparro contributed the only other hit for the Hornets.

• Hornets beat the Highlanders

  John Lefeber hit 2 inside the park hom runs and picked up his first win of the season.  Austin Torello had 2 RBIs.  Chris Faherty was 3-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs.  Matt Pietrandrea scored two runs and had a double. 

• Falkoff blanks St. Luke's

  Patrick Falkoff went the distance and struck out 7 to earn his 6th win of the season.  In a very tightly contested game, Matt Pietrandrea singled and scored the winning run on Marc Cafasso's sacrifice fly.  John Lefeber also scored an insurance run on Mike Cox's sacrifice fly.

  Austin French came in relief to pick up the save for the Hornets.  He also had a big day at the plate with 3 hits, 3 runs, 4 RBIs, with a double and a home run.  Starter Vinny Teixeira was 3-5 with 3 runs, 3 RBIs and a triple.  Marc Cafasso was 2-3 with a double.  Mike Cox 2-4 with 3 runs scored.  Pat Falkoff  2-5 with 3 RBIs.  Matt Pietrandrea was 2-2 and Marco Gasparro was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. 

• Cox hits walk-off homerun

  Mike Cox hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Hornets a thrilling come from behind win.  Patrick Falkoff kept the team in the game by going the distance while striking out 9.  John Lefeber was 2-3 and tied the game in the bottom of the 7th with a SAC fly.  Marc Cafasso was 2-4 with a run and an RBI.

  Mike Cox had 4 RBIs and a triple while John Lefeber was 2-2 with a double and 3 runs scored.  Matt Pietrandrea , Marc Cafasso and Vinny Teixeira scored two runs each.

  Austin Fench struck out 10 and John Lefeber came in relief to beat King.  Sparking the offense were Vinny Teixeira with a homerun ans Mike Cox and Marco Gasparro with doubles.  Also contributing key hits were Marc Cafasso and French.

  Jordan Kubilus struck out 9 and John Lefeber hit a two-run inside the park home run to go along with 4 RBIs.  Matt Pietrandrea, Kubilus, Vinny Teixeira and Mike Cox all contributed to the hitting attack with RBIs and extra base hits.

  John Lefeber hit a 2-run homer and a double.  Mike Cox and Vinny Teixeira also homered as Pat Falkoff pitched a complete game.  Jordan Kubilus was 3-3 and Mike Sowerby and Jon Katzman each contributed RBI hits.  Austin French chipped in with 2 hits.

  Hornets came back from a 6-run 1st inning deficit with a 17 hit barrage and pulled away in the late innings to earn this non-league win over Kingwood-Oxford.  Mike Cox had 2 triples and 3 RBIs.  Vinny Teixeira had 5 RBIs.  John Lefeber was 4-5 and Jordan Kubilus, Marc Cafasso and Patrick Falkoff all had extra base hits.

  Vinny Teixeira struck out 13 batters and was in total control of the game as the Hornets posted their second league win of the season.  Jordan Kubilus broke a scoreless tie in the 6th inning with homer to left center field.  Matt Pietrandrea provided some insurance runs with 2 RBIs in the same inning.

  Austin French pitched well for the Hornets in a well contested game.  Vinny Teixeira had a home run and 3 RBIs with 2 runs scored while John Lefeber and Mike Cox each had a run producing extra base hit.

• Cafasso shines in win over Rye

  Marc Cafasso hit a 3 run homer and was a double shy of the cycle in an 8-3 win over Rye CDS.
  Jordan Kubilus registered 3 big hits while Mike Sowerby sealed the game with two RBIs.
  Marco Gasparro was, once again, a catalyst for the offense output.

  Patrick Falkoff pitched six innings of shutout ball while only giving up one hit and striking out 5.  Vinny Teixeira, John Lefeber and Mike Cox all drove in runs while Marco Gasparro and Jordan Kubulis chipped in with a double and two hits.

  Spring Training in Disney

  The much anticipated spring training trip to Disney World took place in March with games against Georgetown Prep, MD(lost 7-6), Portsmouth Abbey, RI (won 7-4), Georgetown High, DC (won 6-5), Sidwell Friends, DC (lost 12-11).
  The exceptional facilities were the backdrop for a week of competition, relaxation, team bonding and park hopping.
