More Information

List of 7 items.

  • Extended Day

In order to provide flexibility for working parents, we offer an extended day program with both early morning (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) and afternoon (3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.) sessions. A wide range of activities and games are enjoyed by the  campers under the direct supervision of our trained staff. This program is offered for an additional fee and campers can be enrolled for either morning, afternoon, or both.

Students enrolled in Summer Academy, on Hamden Hall's main campus (Whitney Avenue), can sign up for early morning care which will be held at that location from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. An extended day option from 3:30-5:30 is also available for an additonal fee.
  • Registration

Please register for the programs you wish by filling out the on line registration form with credit card payment or by downloading the registration form and returning the completed form with a $100.00 nonrefundable deposit, which will be applied to the tuition.  If you prefer, you may contact the Summer Programs office and request that a registration form be mailed to you.  Use one form per child.  Full payment is due one week prior to the first day of attendance.
  • Medical Information

In order to meet state standards and insurance requirements, each camper/student must have completed medical and emergency forms on file with the Summer Programs office one week prior to the first day of attendance.  Forms will be mailed home with the confirmation of enrollment or can be downloaded in advance from our website.  There is a registered nurse on site at camp, and many of our staff are certified in both AED/CPR and First Aid.  Our entire senior camp staff is epi-pen trained.
  • Transportation

Campers who are enrolled in Camp Hornet and students who are enrolled in Adventures and Academics will be transported to scheduled activities by Hamden Hall bus or van.  Our bus and van drivers are registered and licensed with the State of Connecticut. Each Hamden Hall bus and van is inspected and approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Lunch/Snacks

For children who spend the entire day with us, lunch and snack items must be brought from home.  A juice box, a piece of fruit, some cookies all make appropriate snacks that may be consumed in a short amount of time!  Only non-perishable foods should be used in your child's lunch; a frozen pack may be included.  A frozen juice box works well, and then can be consumed as it thaws.  Hamden Hall is a peanut free campus.
  • Change/Cancellation Policy

Any program may be canceled because of insufficient enrollment, in which case the registration fee would be refunded. Once a registration is processed, any subsequent change in registration made by you will result in a $20.00 administrative fee.  For cancellations made before June 8, 2018, you will receive a full refund minus the $100.00 non-refundable deposit.  Cancellations after June 8th, but made at least two weeks prior to the start of your camp session, will receive a 50% refund.  Cancellations made within two weeks of the start of your camp session will not receive a refund.
  • Late Pick-Up Policy

Our PM Extended Day program ends promptly at 4:30 PM. Parents should plan to pick-up their child by that time. If parents/guardians are unable to pick-up by 4:30 PM, they should make arrangements to have a local emergency person pick-up their child. The late fee for children picked up after the designated time will be $10.00 per child per every 15 minutes after 4:30 PM (or part thereof). Payment should be made to the Director on duty at the time of the late pick-up. If payment is not made at that time, the fee will be charged to the child's registration.
