Michele DeMusis 1982 Shares Update

Jodi Amatulli
Dr. Michele DeMusis, Class of 1982, reports that she and her husband, John, are official empty nesters. The family still lives in Ellicott City outside Baltimore (the place with the flooding on Main Street that made the national news in May!). A few years ago, Michele and three of her partners left their medical education jobs to start a primary care, women's health-focused practice for the University of Maryland Medical System. "It  has been great. Very happy to get to go to work every day with such great colleagues and friends." John still practices and teaches orthopedic foot and ankle surgery in Baltimore. And Michele is a trustee at our their children's independent school, Glenelg Country School, a place which reminds Michele so much of Hamden Hall. In late August, the kids will be gone--Carrie will be a freshman at Bucknell, and Matt will be in his fourth year at UVA studying statistics and econometrics. Over the summer, Matt interned in Connecticut interning for Morgan Stanley and mom reports that he "loved Connecticut pizza!" As empty nesters, Michele and John are planning trips to places other than club baseball, wrestling and lacrosse tournaments, and they're hoping to spend more time at their house in Bethany Beach. Thanks for sharing, Michele!
