Girls’ Varsity Tennis Edges Out Competition
The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team played against the Gunnery for a mid-week match last Wednesday afternoon, May 4.
The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team played against the Gunnery for a mid-week match last Wednesday afternoon, May 4.
The team took to the James R. Maggart Tennis Courts and came away with a win 5-2. In the single matches, sophomore Rachel Danishevsky won with a score of 8-3; sophomore Annabelle Beatty won with a score of 8-2; and junior Vanessa Gold won with a score of 8-5.
Seventh-grader Rebecca Danishevsky and eighth-grader Addison Lewis had a victorious doubles debut, winning with a score of 8-1, while freshman Theodora Aslan and sophomore Shaina Patel also had a successful doubles team debut, winning 8-5.
“Another great team win,” commented Coach Ansley Scudder.
The team travels to compete at Westover School on Wednesday, May 11, at 4:15 p.m.
