Dr. Rich Joseph 2005 Internal Medicine Resident
Dr. Rich Joseph, Class of 2005, is finishing up his last year of an internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. “Next steps are being figured out now,” Rich reports, “but it will be something creative and different for sure.”
Rich adds that in the new year, he promised himself that he would learn how to publish a website (very basic) for any and all who may want to add some more health and vitality to their lives. “My mission is to bring the joy of movement into peoples’ daily lives. Movement is potent medicine that fortifies the mind-body connection and acts as a gateway behavior towards a healthier lifestyle. This website is an initial attempt to share this mission by providing resources, motivation, and sound evidence. My hope is that this is the start of a supportive community. Your feedback, ideas, and suggestions are most welcome and greatly appreciated. And forgive me as I slowly learn out how to use this thing.” Rich shared the following from the website:

Traditional health care, as currently structured and incentivized, ignores the importance of community as a pillar of human health. Nor is it built to shepherd and support people along the rugged, yet invigorating path towards optimal health and functioning.
The VIM Life is about building community through the shared pursuit of health and vitality. We then leverage the power of community to help inspire, teach, and sustain individual behavior change.
