Boys’ Varsity Baseball Outscore FAA Opponent

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team welcomed Fairchester Athletic Association League rival St. Luke’s School for a home game at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Tuesday, April 7, winning 10-5. .
Senior Nic Scillia took the mound as starting pitcher, striking out five players and only allowing three runs and three hits. Senior Eric Jagielow pitched two innings, striking out one player and only allowing two runs. Senior Billy Cole closed out the game, striking out three players and allowing no runs.

At the plate, junior Jey Scanlon went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double as senior Amato Civitello had two runs, two RBIs, and one double. Junior Sam Castro had two RBIs and one double, senior Luca Faulker had one double, junior Brian Anderson had one hit, two runs, and a stolen base and junior Leo Dotorri had one hit and one run.

The season record is now 7-0 and 5-0 in FAA League play.

The team returns to the field for a rematch game hosted at St. Luke’s School on Thursday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m.
