Non-League Win for Boys’ Varsity Basketball
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to Marianapolis School for an away game on Friday, January 30, winning 48-47.
It was a back-and-forth battle between the Hornets and the Golden Knights. Sophomore Daniel Vincent led the team with 24 points and strong defensive plays. Freshman Massa Toure netted 11 points as junior Christian Cournoo and freshman TJ Holt netted a combined 13 points.
“Great win for the team,” said Coach Sean Doherty. “It was a close game, but everyone locked in on the defensive end and had great performances.”
The team takes on Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Hopkins School at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Monday, February 2, at 6 p.m.
