Co-ed Varsity Wrestling Team Hosts Invitational Tournament
The Co-ed Varsity Wrestling Team hosted the Hamden Hall Invitational Tournament at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Saturday, January 24.
The tournament welcomed the Forman School, Deerfield Academy, Greenwich Country Day School, Greens Farms Academy, Marvelwood School, Brunswick School, and Suffield Academy. The Hornets wrestled well against their opponents and earned fifth place overall with Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000.
It was a strong match for individual wins as junior Gavin Giugno placed first in his respective weight class. Junior Carmine Carirati and sophomore Trin Sukduang both placed second in their respective weight classes, and freshman Alice Xiao placed third in her respective weight class.
The team travels to Brunswick School for the Fairchester Athletic Association Tournament on Saturday, January 31, at 10 a.m.
