Victorious Weekend for Girls’ Varsity Basketball
The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to Milton Academy for an away game against Brewster Academy on Sunday, December 7, winning 69-63.
Junior Madison Benigini led the game for the Lady Hornets as she netted 26 points with two rebounds and five assists followed by senior Tessa Porch with 19 points and one assist. Senior Reilly Chernovetz and juniors Alexa Huckaby and Trinity Robinson netted a combined 14 points.
The team also won its game against The Hun School with a score of 57-53 on Friday, December 5. Coach Brian Johnson noted that the team found success early on in the game and kept the momentum going to claim victory.
The Lady Hornets return to the court for a non-league tournament against Norfolk Christian School and Saint Francois School on Saturday, December 13, with the first game at 5:20 p.m. and the second game at 8:20 p.m.
