Boys’ Varsity Baseball Holds On in Close Game

Sophomore AJ Park took the mound as the starting pitcher, striking out two players and only giving up one earned run and one unearned run off five hits through five innings. Junior Billy Cole stepped in as relief pitcher, allowing one hit as junior Amato Civitello closed out the game, striking out two players.
At the plate, Amato had one run as sophomore Jey Scanlon had one hit and one run. Senior Carlos Reyes went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and junior Nic Scillia had one hit and one RBI.
Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record is now 8-4 for the season and 8-2 in FAA League play.
The team returns to the field for a home game against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Brunswick School at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Tuesday, April 29, at 4:30 p.m.
