Hornets Lose to Pomfret
Hornets Tennis was a bit of a mixed bag at the match against Pomfret. While many great points were played and the hard work the girls have been doing in practice was evident, only two matches were victories- Taylor massey at #2 against opponent CC Cunningham won 6-3, 6-2, and Chrissy Lifton, at #4 singles, beat opponent Morgan Adams 6-2, 1-6, 6-1. #1 Morgan Massey played a tough match, losing to Annalena Lieb, and Jane Motter at #3 singles fell to Louisa Hoeher. The doubles teams fought hard but all lost in straight sets. Sydney Dinkeloo and Shin-Hae Lee lost 1-6, 3-6, Chelse Fusco and Abby Ginsburg lost 1-6, 2-6, and Sarah Haddad and Ali Walz lost 3-6, 1-6. Despite the loss, the Hornets left resolved to fight hard against Hopkins in Monday's upcoming match.
