Hornets Pull Out a Cliffhanger Victory on Senior Day!!!

The Hornets prevailed in their Senior Day match against Masters NY at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club. The only singles to fall was #1 Morgan Massey, who put up an impressive fight before losing her match 5-10. Taylor Massey won at #2 10-5, Janie Motter won at #3 10-8, and Chrissy Lifton won at #4 10-4. Doubles teams of Shin-Hae Lee and Sydney Dinkeloo (#1) and Simona Fried and Chelsea Fusco (#2) fought hard but lost; the cliffhanger and decisive match was played by senior Abby Ginsberg and partnet Summer Irving, who won at 9-9, with a 7-3 tiebreak. It was an exciting way to celebrate Senior Day for this amazing team of dedicated athletes!
