Hornets Edged Out by Westover
It was a super close match, but Westover beat the Hornets by a score of 2 to 5. Prevailing for the Hornets were #3 and #4 singles, Jane Motter and Chrissy Lifton. Both players beat their opponents in straight sets. #1 and #2 singles, captains Morgan and Taylor Massey, lost their matches, though both played many masterful points. Morgan took her match to three sets. All the doubles matches were losses, though all players played well. Shin-Hae Lee and Simona Fried at #1 doubles played some great points, especially in the second set, and Chelsea Fusco and Sydney Dinkeloo played beautifully at 2nd doubles. Abby Ginsberg and partner Summer Irving fought hard but ultimately lost to their opponents in two impressively played sets (5-7, 4-6).
