Hornets finish strong
The Hornets played inspired football from beginning to end on the way to beating St. Luke's 24-6. Eric Warren was his usual solid self with over 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdown runs. Senior Matt Huff saved his best for last as he put together his finest all around game of the year with tough rushing yards, a touchdown, and 5 tackles. The player of the game was Dante Brito. In one of the finer performances of the year, he consistenly gave the Hornets good field position with his aggressive punt and kickoff returns, one going for 60 yards. He was also a sure handed receiver and tackler. Alex Chiodo rounded out the scoring, closing out his spectacular kicking season by being perfect on the day, including a 25 yard field goal. Engineering the balanced attack on offense was, once again, Dylan Pavone. Malcolm Garvey and the entire defense was tested but they came up with the big stops when it was necessary. Tobi Nwangwu had 7 tackles on the day. The team finished the season with a 6-2 record.
