Hornets win on last minute touchdown

Eric Warren's 5 yard scamper with 30 seconds left in the game culminated a second half comeback by the Hornets as they went on to beat Rye 13-10.  A listless Hamden Hall team found themselves down at the half 10-0 after Rye put together sustained drives in the second quarter that resulted in a touchdown and a 30 yard field goal. The Hornets could not move the ball well in the air or on the ground in the first half with the limited chances they had with the ball.  Rye also did a good job of keeping the Hornets offense off the field by moving the ball well on the ground and taking time off the clock.  The Hornets defensive unit did a good job of keeping the game close to give the offense  a chance to get on track.  Marc Cafasso, Tobi Ngwangwu, Brandon Cooper, Brian Virgilio, Martin Clak, Malcolm Clark, Malcolm Garvey, Julian Scott, Dante Brito, James Kemler and Adam Bassett made up the defense that deserves a lot of credit for this win. Eric Warren also scored the first touchdown after Dylan Pavone and Dante Brito connected for good passing yardage that resulted in a 10 yard TD run.  Alex Chiodo kicked the extra point.
