Cross Country: Rogoz Shines at the NH Road Race

Cross Country does not compete in an official school meet till this Wednesday at Watkinson in Hartford, however, several runners took the opportunity to test their skill against the entire city, competing in the recent New Haven Road Race along with 2500.

Seventh grader Michael Crockett did a fine job in the 5K (28:31, 29th age group, 1244 overall), but most impressive was senior Dan Rogoz (17:44), who finished 16^th in the entire 13-19 year old field, and 36th overall! Coach Dave Bennett, who also looked impressive (24:10, 35 age group, 500th overall) (and far younger than his competitors) at the Road Race, has the highest hopes for Rogoz this year as a potential New England champion. Max Feldman challenged himself in the 20K race finishing 29th age group and 1244 overall in a time of 1:38:20.
