Class of 2019 alumna Kirsten “Shaw” Mettler married longtime love Sam Peters on June 13 at the Harbor View Hotel on Martha’s Vineyard in Edgartown, Mass., with the reception held at the Edgartown Yacht Club.
The couple welcomed family and friends for the beautiful ceremony with a few Hamden Hall guests in attendance as part of the bridal party. Class of 2019 alumni Ainsley Baker, Sophie Deshpande, and Kiley Herlihy were all bridesmaids with Aya Wazaz as the maid of honor. The couple traveled to Italy, Switzerland, and Greece for their honeymoon.
Shaw and Sam have been together for eight years as they met the summer before senior year at Stanford Summer Session, a program at Stanford University where high school students take college classes. Shaw noted that she took Sam to the Hamden Hall Senior Prom in 2019.
They currently reside in Cambridge, Mass., but will be moving to New York City in the fall. Shaw graduated from Harvard Law School earlier this year and will spend the next two years clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Sam works as a software developer for Watertronics.
