2021 Alumnus Graduates George Washington University
Class of 2021 alumnus Nicholas “Nick” Perkins graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University with a degree in political science.
While at GW, Nick worked as a writer for the culture section of the GW Hatchet, which is the university's independent, student-run newspaper and worked in the sports department of the school's radio station, WRGW.
Outside of academics, Nick spent time in the world of politics and campaigns, working for Connecticut’s U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, interning at the Cook Political Report with Amy Walter, and moving to Montana for a summer to work on U.S. Sen. Jon Tester's re-election team.
Nick currently works full time as a United States history tour guide in downtown D.C., telling tales about the Smithsonian Museums and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. He's hoping to break into the world of political and cultural journalism as a career.
