The Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Team traveled to Portledge School for an away game on Saturday, April 11, winning 19-6.
he Hornets came out firing from the opening whistle, scoring six goals in the first quarter to take control early. The momentum continued as the team extended the lead to 13-5 at halftime. The offense kept rolling in the second half as four goals were added to the scoreboard in the third quarter before the game closed out with a dominant victory.
Junior Austin McWeeney led the attack with six goals and added four ground balls, sophomore Landon Kalizsewski added three goals and four ground balls, while junior Gavin Guigno also found the net three times and added three ground balls. Eighth-grader Cooper Lily was a dual threat, recording four assists along with three goals and three ground balls. Both juniors Ben Greenberg and Logan Rapuano each dished out three assists. Sophomore Trin Sukduang and freshman Eyal Israel each scooped up three ground balls to help maintain possession and fuel the transition attack.
The team’s record is now 3-0 for the season under Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000.
